Changes to UK entry Visa requirements from
13 November 2003
From 13 November 2003, entry clearance will be required for nationals
of Australia and New Zealand who intend to stay in the UK for longer
than six months. In addition, all UK Work Permit Holders staying
for more than six months will require entry clearance.
There will be transition arrangements to ensure that genuine passengers
are not unduly inconvenience. A "grace period" will operate
until 23.59 on 13 January 2004 during which time any passenger who
arrives at a UK port, and would qualify for entry except for the
absence of the necessary entry clearance, will be admitted.
