THE COMPANY

Specialising in the import and wholesale distribution of high-quality wines. A prominent leader in Victorian, New South Wales, and Queensland wine markets, proudly representing a varied portfolio of boutique wine producers from Australia, New Zealand, and Italy.

THE ROLE

This is an onsite position, located in the warehouse office in Thomastown.

A full-time or part-time role starting immediately until the end of March 2025. (Will consider 3 days per week: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday).

This may develop in to a permanent role for the right candidate!

As a key member of the distribution team, you will serve as the primary point of contact for sales representatives, retail partners as well as on premise, online, and private customers.

This roles encompasses administration support, sales events support, accounts, inventory management, and customer service.

Duties will include:

  • Processing stock orders using Fishbowl software.
  • Assisting logistics staff with monitoring delivery confirmations.
  • Collaborating with warehouse staff to ensure effective stock control and management.
  • Sales and debtor reporting using Reckon software.
  • Processing accounts receivable using Reckon software.
  • Banking and receipt allocation.
  • Ordering and managing supplies for all business units.
  • Coordinating annual events including trade shows and public sales.
  • Greeting clients, customers, guests, and organisation stakeholders.
  • General administration duties including answering the telephone, managing emails, scheduling relevant meetings, data entry, printing and copying, coordinating mail, as well as drafting and sending written communication.
  • Assisting Sales Executives by providing support with their scope of work and related tasks.
  • Supporting senior management within the business unit as needed.

YOU WILL HAVE

  • Italian speaking (preferably)
  • Prior experience in wine and/or food importing and wholesaling in Australia is a MUST.
  • Experience working with inventory and accounting systems (ideally Fishbowl and Reckon) is a MUST.
  • Administration experience (ideally in a warehouse setting).
  • Customer service experience.
  • Professional proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • An aptitude for problem-solving.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a ‘can do’ attitude.
