Family Lawyer

About the role
As a Family Lawyer you will be joining a dynamic and highly regarded legal practice in Blackburn. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients on a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, property settlements, and more. Your expertise and commitment to client-centric service will be integral to the continued success of the firm.

What you’ll be doing

• Advising clients on all aspects of family law, including separation, divorce, child custody, child support, property settlements, and more.
• Preparing and reviewing legal documents such as divorce petitions, financial disclosure statements, and parenting plans.
• Representing clients in court proceedings, negotiations, and mediations.
• Conducting legal research and analysis to support client matters.
• Maintaining ongoing communication with clients to ensure their needs are met.
• Collaborating with the wider legal team to provide a seamless and comprehensive service.

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 5 years of PAE in family law, with a proven track record of successful client outcomes.
• A movable client base.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal information.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service and building long-term relationships.
• Familiarity with relevant family law legislation and court procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
