Our client is a fully accredited government-funded, not-for-profit residential aged care facility located in Sandringham. They are seeking a skilled Finance Manager to oversee their financial operations and drive strategic initiatives to ensure the financial health and sustainability of their organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and analysis.
- Developing and monitoring budgets and financial plans.
- Providing strategic financial guidance to senior leadership.
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Leading and mentoring a team of general services, maintenance, catering, IT, HR, and payroll.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior management role within a commercial and changing environment, preferably within the aged care sector.
- CA or CPA qualified.
Desirable:
- Demonstrated strong values driven leadership style that encourages constructive debate, using initiative and an evidenced based approach, with a commitment to working collaboratively to achieve agreed vision and objectives.
- Strong financial management, business skills and strategic planning acumen with demonstrated experience in effective risk management and a thorough understanding of Government funding.
- Proven staff management, mentoring and leadership experience.
- Excellent relationship management with internal and external stakeholders, with an ability to work in a governance environment.
- Understanding of the role of the aged care service in responding to the community needs.
- A sound understanding of current issues affecting the aged care service system and community.
