THE COMPANY:

  • Has been established and in operation successfully for the past 23 years in the beautiful Latrobe Valley. It provides services for planned and unplanned outages and shutdown maintenance to the power and energy industries.

THE ROLE:

  • Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be expected to manage all safety issues and ensures all staff complies with current legislation. Where necessary establishing company policies to make sure everyone  conforms to the safety rules.
  • Confident in compiling safety instructions and implementing them into the company’s policies.
  • Make sure that during inspections that areas for improvement and condition change are carried out immediately.
  • Every accident or incident case that is reported is investigated immediately and recommendations made to management.
  • To have a firm but fair attitude, confident in making decisions and standing by them.
  • Carry out induction training and courses where necessary.
  • There could be travel involved as and when required.
  • Maintain an up to date claims register.

REQUIREMENT:

  • Current Occupational Health & Safety qualifications / certification.
  • Valid Australian driver’s license.
  • Excellent report writer.
  • Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
  • Confident in conduction presentations.
  • To be thick skinned.
  • Not a clock watcher!
  • Available to travel Australia wide as and when required.
  • Relocation expenses considered!
