- Manage the ESS operations
OUR CLIENT:
For the past 15 years our client has been a world leader in solar mounting systems in Australia and is now in the process of setting up a new ESS operations to carry out development on the next generation Energy Storage System that will include PV Inverters and Battery Storage Systems.
THE ROLE:
- Reporting to the General Manager, the role is to focus on leading edge technological developments covering renewable energy via construction and improvement of power electronics and energy storage business development processes. You will be responsible for formulating power electronics and energy storage systems solutions, team building, talent training so to achieve the company’s business objectives.
- Lead the Australian BESS team whilst working also with the China R&D team.
- Provide pre-sales, post sales technical support
- Understanding of setting up workshop / repair centre.
- Constant liaison with outsourcing manufacturers and the supply chain department.
- Responsible for selecting and training the BESS team which will include Power Electronics Engineers
- Promote PV inverter and ESS products.
- To visit and attend China operations as and when required.
- Fully understand all concepts of managing a BESS projects.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- BSc or above plus a minimum of 5 years experience covering energy storage or lithium battery product development.
- or
- MSc with at least 5 years experience as a senior manager in a well known Photovoltaic energy storage enterprise or lithium battery environment.
- Track record as a Technical Manager
- Enjoy being hands on and supporting your team.
- Professional Industry background in power system and automation, power electronics and transmission, control engineering, relay protection, electromechanical energy storage and new energy.
- Have industry experience in PV power electronics and energy storage.
- Knowledge of BMS – battery management systems.
- Mandarin speaking, reading and writing would be advantageous!
